Kids & Teens Yoga Membership Coming Soon

One in six children aged 5-16 are likely to have a mental health problem. This figure has gone up by 50% in the last three years. Between 2021 and 2022 alone, the proportion of older young people aged 17-19 in England with a probable mental health disorder jumped from one in six to one in four.

Our new Kids and Teens Yoga Membership provides your children with the tools to support their mental health and find ways to cope with the elements of their lives they find challenging.

“I’m absolutely loving your classes. After the first session, my knee felt incredible, it’s still dodgy but the pain has significantly decreased since I started yoga with you. I’m more relaxed and am sleeping so much better all week than I was but my Tuesday night’s sleep is the best of all.

Thank you for making me feel safe and not self-conscious, it’s a lovely group and I very much enjoy my hour with you”.

Yoga with the family

My children have become so used to me rolling out my mat and walking around every day in full yoga gear that I think they feel really familar with the word and what it’s all about. I can’t wait to start my yoga for kids classes soon.

Yoga space at home

Whether you have cats, dogs or a hundred kids at home don’t be afraid to roll out a mat and move your body. Like with any exercise you don’t need to have 60 minute spare, your mind and body will thank you for ten minutes of yoga

Make space for you

Yoga for relaxation

If you are starting out on your yoga journey it is a nice idea to begin with a gentle approach. Even if you are used to high-level, high-impact cardio or your fitness is brilliant, my advice is to start with a gentle, relaxing class. My Hatha Flow class which runs on Tuesday evenings in Meanwood is beginner-friendly and I always guarantee a blissful relaxation at the end.

If you are new to meditation why not try out some simple breathing next time you find yourself with a few moments to spare. In the bath, in bed, on a walk. Don’t be fooled into thinking you need to be sat in a cross-legged yogi pose with candles burning to meditate. You can meditate anywhere and everywhere.
